Why on earth would be put ourselves through discomfort on purpose?
Why on earth would we move ourselves into a pose on our mats, that causes discomfort in certain areas, either physically, or emotionally?
Why on earth would we wiggle our hips to sink deeper into a pose that opens up tight areas (experiencing discomfort in the process of wiggling and sinking deeper)?
Why on earth would we accept to do this to ourselves?
Well...this discomfort on the mat mirrors the discomfort we sometimes experience off the mat.
This discomfort opens up new space, new energy, new flexibility to navigate (with kindness and care) the tough parts of life, the uncomfortable and challenging parts of life, either physically or emotionally.
That is why discomfort is so important, on and off the mat.
