One of the best parts of Retreat Pray Love's recent Copenhagen Jazz & Yoga Retreat, was practicing yoga at Hamsa Yoga Studio with Jacqueline.
During Jacqueline's Gentle Hatha class, we used helpful props with a big focus on hip opening poses. I really enjoyed the new variations of some of the asanas that Jacqueline taught, with a soft, beautiful, gentle yet energetic vibe.
The class was taught mainly in English, with adjustments made one-on-one in Danish and lots of giggling during the Danish parts (lol). A great illustration of Denmark as the happiest country in the world.
The flow of the class was like a body meditation. Sinking into the body, feeling the body, ignoring thoughts, honoring and listening to the body.
Jacqueline’s "Earth" and "Sky" references were beautiful during the poses, bringing back fond memories of practicing yoga in Ikaria with Angeliki at THE EGG.
The ambience of the room was also awesome, with fresh air coming through an open window, contributing to a beautiful energy throughout the class.
Thank you to Jacqueline, fellow students and Hamsa Yoga Studio for a beautiful morning yoga practice. I hope to return to practice with you again.
